Shipping & Delivery Policy

We aim to make every delivery from Scented Serenade fast, safe, and reliable. This policy explains our dispatch times, shipping zones, couriers, and important information regarding restricted items.

1. Dispatch Times

We normally dispatch orders within 1–2 working days of receipt. During busy periods (October–December) dispatch times may extend to 3–4 working days. Any changes to current dispatch times are always shown on our website or product pages.

2. Delivery Areas & Couriers

We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. Our delivery zones and pricing are as follows:

Zone 1 – UK Mainland

Courier: Yodel (0–3 kg) / APC (3 kg +)
Rates: £2.79 (0–99 g), £2.99 (100 g–3 kg), £5.99 (3 kg +)
Estimated Delivery: 2–5 working days after dispatch (Yodel) or next-day overnight (APC).

Zone 2 – Northern Ireland

Courier: Yodel (≤ 3 kg) / DPD (3 kg +)
Rates: £7.79 (0–99 g), £7.99 (100 g–3 kg), £14.50 (3 kg +)
Estimated Delivery: up to 5 working days after dispatch.

Zone 3 – Scottish Highlands & Isles, Channel Islands & Scilly Islands

Courier: Yodel (≤ 3 kg) / APC (3 kg +); Channel Islands via DHL
Rates: £7.79 (0–99 g), £7.99 (100 g–3 kg), £14.50 (3 kg +)
Estimated Delivery: 3–7 working days after dispatch.

Scottish Highlands & Isles postcodes include: AB37–AB38, AB41–AB56, FK17–FK21, HS, IV, KA27–KA28, KW, PA20–PA49, PA60–PA78, PH17–PH44, PH49–PH50, PO30–PO41, TR21–TR25, ZE.

3. Delivery Timeframes

Delivery times quoted are estimates and may vary depending on courier workload or weather conditions.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next working day.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

4. Dangerous Goods & Restricted Items

Some products we sell are classified as Dangerous Goods under transport regulations (e.g., pure essential oils, blends, essential oil mists, room sprays, or any products containing alcohol such as aroma mists or perfumes).

We can ship Dangerous Goods by road only.
We cannot send Dangerous Goods by air or to destinations that require air transport.
Orders containing these items can only be shipped within mainland UK via approved road couriers.

5. BFPO & PO Box Addresses

We are unable to ship to PO Box addresses via courier within the UK.
Please contact us before placing an order to a BFPO address — shipping costs and availability vary.
For palletised shipments outside the UK, a separate quotation will be provided by email.

6. Packaging

All parcels are packed in plain, unbranded packaging for discretion and protection during transit. Bathroom products such as soaps and bath bombs are labelled with full ingredient lists as required by UK cosmetic labelling regulations.

7. Missed Deliveries & Incorrect Addresses

If a delivery attempt fails, the courier will leave a card or email with re-delivery instructions.
Please ensure your delivery address and postcode are entered correctly when ordering — we cannot refund shipping costs for failed deliveries caused by incorrect details.

8. Delays or Service Disruptions

We will always notify customers if a courier delay or stock issue affects dispatch. Scented Serenade is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
